A major difference between porcelain and ceramic is how it’s made. Ceramic is made from clay, sand and glass. It’s less dense than porcelain tile, yet still strong and available in a beautiful variety of shapes, colors and styles. Ceramic glazing makes them impervious to water and most stains. It’s virtually maintenance free, and we recommended it for wall use-only.
